Q:  Why won’t my Holiday DJ turn on?

A:  First confirm that the Holiday DJ is plugged Into a 110V outlet (standard home outlet). Then press and hold in the power button on the front of the Holiday DJ for 3-5 seconds, or until you hear a “beep” sound. This indicates that Holiday DJ is ready to be connected with a Bluetooth-enabled device.

In the unlikely event that your Holiday DJ does not power on, please complete this Return Authorization Form and you will be sent instructions for returning your Holiday DJ and a new Holiday DJ will be sent to you.

Q: Why don’t the lights that I connected to the back of my Holiday DJ come on when I power up?

A: Your lights will come on within 15 seconds of the time that the Holiday DJ is powered up. Do not continually press the power button to try to get the lights to come on as this will further delay the lights from coming on.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CONNECTING YOUR LIGHTS

The Holiday DJ's MAXIMUM CAPACITY IS 420 WATTS! If you are not sure of the Wattage (W) rating of your light string here is how you can calculate it: Just multiply the current, which can be found on the flag-type tag, by 120. For example, if your the light string label indicates a current of 0.08A multiplying that by 120 = 9.6W. Since the Holiday DJ's maximum capacity is 420 Watts, you would then divide 420 by 9.6W, which equals 43.75. If your light string has 43 or fewer lights on it, it can be safely connected to the Holiday DJ. WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT LIGHT STRINGS, OR CONNECTED SETS OF LIGHTS, IN EXCESS OF THE HOLIDAY DJ'S 420 WATT CAPACITY. AND NEVER PLUG ANYTHING (I.E. APPLIANCES OR EQUIPMENT) BUT LIGHT STRINGS INTO THE HOLIDAY DJ.

Q: Why can’t I hear music as soon as I turn the Holiday DJ on and see its blue LED lights are on?

A: Holiday DJ only works in conjunction with a Bluetooth-enabled (also called “smart”) device (mobile phones, tablets or PCs). When successfully connected to Holiday DJ, your smart device will show “connected” on its screen. Please also make sure that your Bluetooth-enabled device is within 33 feet of the Holiday DJ.

Q: Why aren’t my lights flashing when music is playing through the Holiday DJ?
A: Make sure your lights are in proper working order. If they are working properly, try turning up the volume on the Holiday DJ to be sure that it is picking up the beats of the music. Also consider whether the song playing has a lot of beats – if it does not, then the light flashing synchronization will not work.

Q: Why is there no music playback when the analog plug is being used?

A: First make sure that all other Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby are not connected to the Holiday DJ. In addition, confirm that the audio input cable is 3.5mm and not a different size.

Q: Why can’t I connect my Holiday DJ to my Bluetooth-enabled device?

A: While the answers to most connection issues can be found in the Q&A section below that is specific to Apple devices, Android devices and Windows devices, first confirm that there is a not another Bluetooth-enabled device that is already connected to your Holiday DJ. If there is, turn off the Bluetooth function on that device, or turn off the device itself. You can also “Forget” or “Delete” the Holiday DJ, from showing up in the Bluetooth options menu of any device with which it had previously been connected.

Q: Why can’t I connect my Holiday DJ to a different Bluetooth-enabled device?

A: Holiday DJ will always try to re-establish a connection with the last device with which it was connected. Try turning off the Bluetooth function on that device, or turn off the device itself. You can also “Forget” or “Delete” the Holiday DJ, from showing up in the Bluetooth options menu.

In the unlikely event that your Holiday DJ does not function properly, please complete this Return Authorization Form and a new Holiday DJ will be sent to you.
